At least three barges and one ship, the Courier have run aground in the Industrial Canal near Interstate 10 after they broke free from their moorings during Hurricane Gustav on September 2, 2008 in New Orleans, Louisiana. Gustav brought significant damage to the Gulf Coast area destroying homes and knocking down trees.
