Alejandro Ciordia, 20, from Madrid, Spain, is currently studying at Syracuse University in a one-year exchange program. Cioria took a bus to New York City and planned to return the next day, spending one night in Zuccotti Park. He participated in similar protests in Madrid last year and finds some flaws in the Occupy movement; he thinks the movement is "so broad that there are some contrasting thoughts." Ciordia was also disappointed by attendance and the protest and frustrated with what he believed to be impractical elements of the movement, specifically "alternative democracy."
